my son has been drug addict 4 like 15 years & tried every step in the book but in vain,now he’s sober for 6 months and am deathly scared he’d relapse and starts counting again..why just can’t he be a normal person and act like normal ppl??

i dont know my ex wont ever get better either. That why they call it addiction. i could not stand it anymore and i left him. I never could understand why he did it. It just made him act stupid, feel horrible and ruined our family. i guess it was all worth it cuz he couldnt stop and now we’re gone. Atleast he still has crack to comfort him. You have to let him go. He’s never gonna stop. Just love him from a distance.

because he isnt normal. he has a disease called addiction/ chemical dependancy. it cant be cured. you have to constantly work at it to live normally without it. not to mention old habits and ways are really hard to break. people are drawn to the same type of people they have known their entire lives and those people can cause temptation thats hard to resist for a person with an addiction
