Alyssa, I had Kidney Stones years ago and even though they’re very painful, they can be treated WITHOUT surgery by taking an Herbal supplement called Hydrangea. Hydrangea will slowly dissolve the corners of the stones giving your Dad much pain relief. From there, the Hydrangea will just dissolve the stone to a size that it can be easily passed. Good luck, Mark

They are horribly, horribly painful, but not permanent or life threatening.

Basically calcium builds up and forms little “pebbles”. Your body tries to urinate them out…you’ve seen how small the opening you pee out of is is? It hurts!!

This is one of those instances where the pain is out of all proportion to the risk.

Depending on the size, you may pass them naturally (but painfully) or they may use ultrasound to shatter them.

He shouldn’t be in the hospital long. A day or two?

Try looking up “kidney stones” on “Web MD” and “wikipedia”.
