my son who is 30 has become addicted to vicodin, has asked for my help, wants to come home, my boyfriend is against it, seems to want son to handle his own problems, i want to help my son get through this, what am i up against, has anyone ever known anyone with this problem before?

out of your god givin motherly love you should really insist on helping him under any circumstances

This is a huge issue, and while your boyfriend may not have the right motive for telling you not to help, that’s probably the best advice. Refer your son to an inpatient program and go on with your life. He’s no baby!
